Established in the late 1980s and featuring a large sky theatre, which can house audiences of more than 200, the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is a good place to learn about astronomy and the solar system. The main attractions are the astronomy shows, which take place twice daily, at 15:00 and again at 16:30, when the ceiling of the sky theatre is filled with star constellations.

Tipu Sultan's Palace - Albert Victor Road, Bangalore, India, IN
Tipu Sultan's Palace is a modest building and just a short walk from the bustling City Market. Construction was completed in 1791, with the palace being built entirely from timber, including a number of elegant teak pillars. Attractions include a small photo gallery and the adjacent Venkataraman Temple.

The striking ISKCON Temple Complex was built by the affluent International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and is known for its shiny exterior and lavish decorations. Located around 8 km / 5 miles to the north-west of Bangalore city centre, the ISKCON Temple features both modern and traditional Indian architecture, housing a series of theatres and a stunning central shrine. The temple is used by followers of the Hare Krishna faith and welcomes non-members.

Tipu Sultan's Fort - Krishna Rajendra Road, Bangalore, India, IN
Originally constructed in 1537 by Kempegowda as a mud-brick defence structure, Tipu Sultan's Fort was rebuilt during the 18th century in stone. The fort itself features detailed carved arches and Islamic-style architecture, although some of the building has suffered damage during wars.

The Jawahar Bal Bhavan is a particularly popular children's amusement park, complete with playground area and filled with attractions for all ages, including tree houses. Sited within Cubbon Park and featuring mini train rides, ponies, boat rides, an open-air theatre, eateries and many green areas, Jawahar Bal Bhavan covers around 12 acres / 5 hectares and also features a popular petting zoo, where children can get up close to friendly animals.

Lal Bagh Gardens
Lal Bagh is a must see while visiting Bangalore. The name Lal Bagh has been given to it for the wonderfully bloomed red roses that remain blooming all through the year in this garden. The garden has also a collection of famous Botanical species. Though the flow of visitors to the park is a regular affair, the garden gets a festive look during the Republic Day and on the days of flower shows that are held here.

Vidhan Soudha

Vidhan Soudha, built in the year 1954 is one of the major centres of attraction in Bangalore. The architecture of the building is based on the neo Dravidian style and it presently houses the Legislative Assembly of the state of Karnataka. The building also houses a part of the Karnataka secretariat.

Bangalore Palace

Built in the year 1887, Bangalore palace is a must see tourist spot in the garden city. The architecture of the palace is based on the Tudor style. The palace is situated in the middle of the Bangalore city making it easily accessible for the tourists. Covering an area of about 800 acres, the palace gives a look of the Windsor Palace of England.

Venkatappa Art Gallery

Venkatappa art gallery is a pleasant treat for the art lovers. It has about 600 paintings on display that you can see all through the year. The art gallery also has some of the exclusive collections of scenic displays.

Shiva Statue

The statue is a 65 feet high depiction of Lord Shiva in a position of Padmashan or Lotus position. The statue is complete with Mount Kailash, the Lord's heavenly abode and the river Ganga flowing from his matted locks in the background. The entire area gives you a clear picture of the mythological legend related to it.

Bull temple

The Bull Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva's Vahana (vehicle), Nandi the bull. Here you can find a huge monolithic statue of the sitting bull that draws a large number of people to this place every day. The statue is 4.5 meters tall and 6 meters long and has been at this place long before the present temple was built.


Ulsoor Lake
For people who love to hang around natural scenery, this is amongst the most beautiful places to see in Bangalore.Ulsoor Lake - The Lake is formed over an area of 125 acres of land, it is a major tourist hang out zone. There is a boat club near the lake where one can take a cruise to near by islands to spend their entire day on the island. A, must visit site.

St. Marks Cathedral

Marks Cathedral - This Cathedral founded in 1808 was sanctified by the Bishop of Calcutta. It is an attractive colonial structure adorned with elegant dome over a semicircular sanctum that gives its devotee immense peace of mind.
